Alun Jones - BVSc MRCVS (Partner)

Alun graduated from Liverpool University 1979 and set up the Gowerton branch of Gibson and Jones with Richard Gibson in November 1988. He enjoys small animal surgery and equine medicine. He has a Leonberger called Myson, several chickens and 3 horses. He helped to rescue the practice cat 832 in 2007 when she came into us via the RSPCA (explaining her name). He likes to take on new challenges, including running marathons and plays the piano (badly).

Sandra Thomas - BVetMed(Hons) MRCVS (Associate Partner)

Sandra joined the surgery fresh from Royal Veterinary College, London in December 1999. She married a local farmer and has two young children. She has a keen interest in small animal medicine, in particular feline medicine. The family has a rabbit called Garfield. Her spare time is spent doing various exciting activities with her children.

Georgina graduated from Bristol University in July 2015 and joined the team in October.

Nicole Hashash - BVetMed MRCVS (Vet)

Nicole graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in July 2012 and moved to Wales to join the practice straight after. She has a dog called George (who she rescued from the RSPCA after he came into the practice as a cruelty case) and has recently adopted a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Goose who suffers with Episodic Falling Syndrome. She also helps to look after the practice cat 832. Nicole has a particular interest in emergency medicine as well as animal behaviour. In her spare time she enjoys baking cakes and biscuits for everyone at the practice to enjoy!

Rhian Stone - QVN

Rhian joined the team in 2007. She completed her veterinary nurse training in 2011. She has a Deerhound called Siencyn, as well as a horse called Mal, 2 cats (Olive and Wednesday) and a 1 eyed goldfish (Panda). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family including her young daughter and plays/teaches piano.

Mandy Davies

Mandy joined the team in 2007. She organises school work experience at the practice. Mandy is currently undertaking some classes to allow her to progress onto her Veterinary Nurse training. She has an English Springer Spaniel called Sam who she rescued from RSPCA in 2012 and also an Arab cross horse called Tommy. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking up mountains with Sam (their favourite being Pen y Fan), riding her horse and generally keeping fit.

Lauren joined the practice in September 2015 having completed her A-levels that Summer. She has 3 dogs, a cat and competes with her horse Millie.

Jo Morgan

Jo joined the team in May 2014. She currently competes with her French Sport Horse, Inox and you may see her at some local showjumping events. Jo is currently in her 1st year of her Veterinary Nurse Training. She is also lucky enough to have 3 other ponies which are mainly used for hacking. Her family dog, Roxy the Golden Retriever is often seen accompanying them on these hacks. Jo is responsible for processing insurance claim forms.

Lauren joined the team in November 2014 having completed a Diploma in Animal Management. In her free time she helps to take her of her famiy's 4 horses and 3 dogs. On top of all this she is a keen sportswoman and is part of both a local football and netball team.
